Mobile windscreen replacement means our fitment unit comes to your home, office or roadside instead of you bringing the car to a workshop. It's faster, more convenient and — done right — identical in quality to workshop fitment. Here's how it works.
What our mobile unit carries
Calibrated suction handles for one-piece glass placement, primer-grade Sika urethane and matched primer, full pinch-weld prep tooling, vacuum chip-repair kit, ADAS static recalibration target board (for some vehicles), portable lighting, and a stocked range of OEM and OEM-equivalent windscreens for the day's bookings.
What you need at the fitment site
Roughly 3 metres of flat, level space around the vehicle, ideally undercover (carport, garage, covered parking). Shade matters because direct sun on hot summer days accelerates urethane skin-over before the glass is set. Rain is the bigger issue — we don't fit in active rain because moisture contaminates the primer bond.
Power isn't required for most jobs. ADAS dynamic recalibration requires a 10–15 minute road drive at 40–80 km/h on a marked road, which we handle ourselves.
When workshop fitment is better
Heavy rain or storm conditions. We'll reschedule or bring the vehicle to our Craighall Park workshop at no charge.
Vehicles requiring full static ADAS recalibration with manufacturer scan tools. Most premium European vehicles need dealer-spec recalibration in a controlled bay.
Severely corroded pinch-weld. If the bonding surface needs spot-painting and corrosion treatment, that's a workshop job.
Pre-2010 vehicles with old urethane decay. Sometimes we need to remove and rebuild the bonding flange in a controlled environment.
Mobile fitment pricing
We don't charge extra for mobile fitment within our standard coverage area — Randburg, Sandton, Fourways, Bryanston, Midrand, Roodepoort, Rosebank, Linden, Parkhurst, Northcliff, Melville and immediate Johannesburg metro. Pretoria, Centurion, East Rand and outlying suburbs are usually fitted for the same price too. Confirm on WhatsApp.
